I. The Certified Supply Chain

iNkosi yeSativa Co-operative is committed to building a fully traceable, compliant international supply chain rooted in one geographic origin — KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

Authentic Durban Poison® genetics originate exclusively from traditional KZN cultivators operating under Co-operative oversight. Where local manufacturing infrastructure is still developing, the Co-operative works with authorised international processing facilities to refine, manufacture and distribute certified products to global markets.

Every product carrying the iNkosi yeSativa Certification Seal is traceable directly to its ancestral source.

II. Regulatory Compliance

All trade activities are contingent upon appropriate export and import licences issued by the relevant governmental authorities in both the exporting and importing nations.

The Co-operative maintains a Verified Partner Registry of authorised manufacturers, importers and distributors who demonstrate full compliance with their local jurisdictional requirements and international trade law.

Applications are reviewed on the basis of: valid import or distribution licence in the applicant's jurisdiction, demonstrated capacity to handle certified agricultural products, and commitment to Co-operative quality and labelling standards.

The Co-operative acknowledges that Durban Poison® products are currently manufactured and distributed internationally. We invite manufacturers currently working with this cultivar to engage with us directly regarding formal certification and authorised partner status before the Geographical Indication framework is fully enforced.

III. Geographical Indication & Certification

iNkosi yeSativa Co-operative is formally pursuing Geographical Indication status for Durban Poison — the same legal framework that protects Champagne, Cognac, Rooibos and Sherry.

Once established, no products may legally claim to be authentic Durban Poison without the iNkosi yeSativa Certification Seal.

Partners who register now are positioned as early verified participants in the official global supply chain — before the framework is fully enforced internationally.

IV. Partnership Inquiry

iNkosi yeSativa Co-operative is currently accepting expressions of interest from:

• Official Regional Importers — Companies seeking to import and distribute certified products within their country or region.
• Global Stockists — Retail and wholesale outlets seeking to carry certified products.
• Leisure Product Manufacturers — Manufacturers operating in the leisure and lifestyle sector seeking certified source material.
